       The Hereford Brand is published everyday except Sunday and Monday, providing local and regional news. Home delivery of the The Hereford Brand, Amarillo Daily News and Lubbock Avalanche Journal is available.

     In addition to local news and sports, radio station KPAN (860 AM and 106.3 FM) play predominately country/western music with Spanish language programming in the evenings. Local station KNNK (100.5 FM) advertises "positive programming" with a mixture of contemporary Christian and gospel, and easy listening in addition to local and national news.

    Hereford Cablevision supplies Hereford with 56 channels. Hereford Cablevision also maintains a televised community bulletin board which includes current local weather conditions.

    Local telephone service is provided by Southwestern Bell and West Texas Rural Telephone, which is also a local internet service provider. Local dial-up to Amarillo, Canyon and Dimmitt are part of Southwestern Bell’s service to Hereford. Cellular One of Hereford and XIT Cellular are the local cell phone companies.

 

    Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative and Xcel Energy are the basic providers of electricity to the residents of Hereford and Deaf Smith County. The gas is provided by Atmos Energy. All of these companies are highly qualified to service the most demanding of energy needs. These companies make major contributions to the community. They give of themselves to make the community a better place to live. All are actively involved in economic development and community activity. Their management and staff are all a big part of the community and they make sure energy requirements are met on a timely basis. Many of these folks are community leaders and serve on boards of volunteer organizations. Their expertise and input are vital to the economic growth of our city and county.
